Minimum level of security & Obligations for corded window treatments We wish to advise you with the 1st of July 2015 fast approaching all rental properties must comply with the minimum security levels & obligations for corded internal window coverings by this date. We have attached two information fact sheets that we have received from the Department of Commerce Consumer Protection which outlines both of these requirements and obligations of landlords. Please review these documents and organise any changes required. Please note that your public liability insurance may refuse cover for future litigation in the event that the tenant is injured as a result of your investment not meeting the minimum security requirements or corded window coverings not being safe after you have been advised in writing of your current risk exposure.
