Irrigation: Bore replacement

Our bore pump failed when we tried to start it this watering season and we were not able to find any contractors that are able to climb down the old well to inspect/repair/replace the pump as safety regulations have been tightened in this area.

The council discussed options and given the age/serviceability/danger of the current well it was decided to drill a new modern well with a submersible pump as this would be much easier to service going forward.

The new well was drilled on Tuesday 27/11/2024, this will be connected to the irrigation system this week.

The old well will be filled in in the coming weeks
