In late 2015 the gardening contractor advised that the "Front North" reticulation station was overloaded and recommended that we replace sprinklers with lower consumption models or move some sprinklers to another station.
The issues with changing to lower flow rate sprinkler heads is the expense of replacement and also that the station must be run for longer to receive the same amount of water. At the time these recommendations were made there wasn't another station close by with spare pressure/flow that we could connect sprinklers to.
Fast forward to 2017 post the completion of the Charles Street bus lane works and we now have a new reticulation station running the south end of the Charles Street verge. This station is small and can easily accommodate additional sprinklers.
This piece of work is to move all sprinklers on the verge connected to the "Front North" station to the "Street Verge" station.
