THE MEWS - PRIVATE APARTMENTS

This item is for the installation of an underground conduit to carry communications cables between the front building to the back building.

This communications link is required for the following existing and future pieces of work:

• Surveillance
• Secure Pedestrian Gates
• Secure Vehicle Gates
• Remote Administration
• Reticulation

We have attempted (for many hours) to use existing conduits however unfortunately there is not enough free space within the conduit to support additional cabling.

80% of this work has been completed.

- Piping bored under driveway.
- Piping laid from SE corner of clothes line area to stairwell outside U05.
- Communications pit installed under stairwell at U05.
- Cabling run through wall cavity to plumbing duct.

The remainder of this work has been completed.

- Piping bored under path.
- Piping laid from clothes line area to communications pit outside U14.
- Cabling run from clothes line area to communications hub in front building.
- Garden area outside unit 5 cleaned and mulched.
