The fence around the clothesline area adjacent to U13 has deteriorated over time and has significant termite damage.

We have been investigating suitable replacement options and have been made aware that a retaining wall must be installed at the North and East edges of this area before fencing can be replaced.

We are currently speaking to contractors and arranging quotes.

Options will be presented at the 2016 AGM in November.

We have received a complaint from an owner urging us to close this area as they believe it to be unsafe.

We do not believe this area to be unsafe, however to keep everyone happy we have decided to remove the existing fence now rather than wait until we have chosen a suitable replacement product and contractor to perform the installation.

Unfortunately this means the area will be without fencing for some time while we source funding.

18/11/2016 : New retaining wall has been installed

- Note that funding was approved at the 2016 AGM in October

28/11/2016 : Area cleaned up

- Soil removed from grass area and placed behind retaining wall
- Soil removed from clothes line area and placed behind retaining wall
- Rocks from old retaining wall removed from garden beds
- Rocks from old retaining wall taken to tip
- Clothes line area, driveway and walkways swept clean
- Plants that had been removed were replanted
- Reticulation repaired
