Update 26/11/2019 - NBN IS NOW CONNECTED
Your building is one step closer to experiencing the benefits of the nbn™ access network
Dear Legal Owner / Owners Corporation,
You have received this Notice as we recently performed installation activities at your property as part of the nbn™ access network rollout. We’re pleased to confirm that we’ve now completed these activities.
Once the activities have been completed in the rest of your area (note: this may take several months), notify the occupants in your building that they can contact a phone and internet provider to start experiencing the benefits of the nbn™ access network. They will need to order an nbn™ powered plan before their existing services are switched off to avoid disruption of affected services.*
Important information on equipment compatibility when connected the nbn™ access network
The rollout of the nbn™ access network will involve new technologies, and some existing equipment may not be compatible with these at all times.
If you have any of the following equipment:
- Monitored fire alarms and lift emergency phones
- Medical alarms, auto diallers and emergency call buttons
- Monitored security alarm systems
- Fax machines and TTY equipment
You’ll need to do the following:
- Register your equipment with nbn by calling 1800 227 300 or visiting nbn.com.au/compatibility
- Call the equipment provider/manufacturer to check that it will work with the nbn™ broadband access network, or whether you’ll need to find an alternative solution.
Power blackouts:
Equipment connected over the nbn™ access network will not work during a power blackout. Make sure you have an alternative form of communication handy (such as a charged mobile phone). If you have a safety-critical device (e.g. a medical alarm, monitored fire alarm or lift emergency phone), speak to your equipment provider about alternative solutions.
