05/05/2014 : Over 5 tonnes of soil was removed from the area to allow the section against the fence to be close to street level.
Unfortunately works had to be stopped as a large tree stump was discovered under the ground level.

Hi All,
It is will sadness that I relay the following:
Simon, the representative that had been assisting with this project passed away in mid June this year.
I have been speaking to Simon regarding this project for a number of years and I believe it was a surprise to everyone when he passed.
Our thoughts are with his wife Anna and family.
Unfortunately this has delayed the project somewhat and we are now working out when installation can take place.

The company attempted to install the letterboxes but found them too heavy to unstall without a crane.
Feedback from contractor:
"I had to cancel install for today. After our pre-install visit this morning and looking at it all, we don’t think it is safe to manually manoeuvre in this situation, as the boxes are so heavy. We have a contractor who has a crane on his truck. I will need to book him in next week.
Apologies for the cancellation."

We have received notice that the address and no junk mail signs for the letterboxes will be installed over the next 2-3 weeks.
Once this occurs we will allow the letterboxes to be used and start the process to have the fence fixed.

Communications have been sent out advising residents to start using the new letterboxes and to make sure all mail is removed from the old letterboxes by March 1st.
Old letterboxes will be demolished as soon as the fencing around the new letterboxes has been completed.
More information on communication is available here:
