As we are a complex of more than 30 units we are required to have the Pool assessed by the Health Department and the City of Vincent.

The intervals of this certification from the Health Department is 4 years, whilst the water quality testing service provided by the City of Vincent is every month.

Both the Health Department and the City of Vincent will be on site this week to asses the pool.

Hi Saxon and Hao

Thanks for your time yesterday.

My final inspection report attached. Pending items highlighted in red.

I am yet to run it past my manager later today to confirm which items can be exempted under the old Regulations.

Before we can issue the Permit to operate, we require the following:
  1. Depth Markers in place
  2. Ensure the lid of skimmer box is securely fasten to prevent tampering by children
  3. “No use of facility allowed after dark” sign OR arrange for isolux plot chart.
  4. Secure access / signage to plant equipment
  5. Pool technician to sign off on water body filtration and system performance data sheet and provide relevant docs/comment listed on the form.
  6. Confirmation by pool technician that the chlorinator is linked to the pool pump.
  7. Confirmation by CoV that they are happy with the backwash disposal system
  8. Purchase an approved test kit and ensure daily water testing is undertaken
  9. Prepare a log book to record results (Template attached)
  10. Complete Appendix 10 attached
  11. Electrical Safety Certificate for the plant equipment and sockets. (You can request this from the sparky that did the installation).

I’m putting up the following as exemptions. Though it is not compliant with the current code, there are no specific requirements under the old regulations:
  1. Railing for steps
  2. Equipotential bonding. If the electrician is able to confirm that the equipotential bonding of the hand rails are in place, ask him/her to sign the certificate attached.
  3. Automatic acid dosing system

In the next upgrade of plant equipment, we recommend that an acid dosing system be installed. This will ensure that the pH is maintained within the optimal range required for effective disinfection. If you find that the pH cannot be maintained within range then the acid dosing system is urgently required. This will also save you time on maintenance and water balancing.
